Welcome to Microstone Mining (PTY) Ltd
We are a pioneering Zimbabwean mining company dedicated to the sustainable extraction of precious resources. Founded in 2014 by visionary entrepreneur Granville De Villiers, Microstone Mining has quickly established itself as a leader in the African mining industry, renowned for our commitment to excellence and community development.
Microstone Mining is proud to hold Mining License 41243BM, granted by the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development.
Our flagship operation is located on a 150-hectare site in the Shamva Mining District, a region celebrated for its rich deposits of gold, tantalite, and lithium.
Nestled on the same mineral-rich belt as the famous Freda Rebecca Gold Mine, our site boasts vast proven reserves, positioning us at the forefront of mining innovation and resource extraction.
Our primary mining site, known as Red Dragon or the Wanroo Claim, is strategically situated near Harare, providing easy access to essential infrastructure.
In 2021, we discovered significant lithium deposits, and in February 2024, we entered into a joint venture agreement with Nasha Industries & Commodities to mine lithium at a minimum quantity of 20,000 metric tonnes per month.
This partnership underscores our commitment to leveraging strategic alliances for enhanced productivity and growth.

Social Responsibility
Microstone Mining is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we operate.
Our social responsibility initiatives include providing transportation for schoolchildren in the Shamva and Bindura areas, ensuring they have safe and reliable access to education.
We are also building a wholesale supermarket to offer affordable goods to our workers and local residents, and we provide bursaries for tertiary education to support the educational aspirations of our staff's children.
